Saul was rejected by his reckless rebellion.

“And you shall go down before me to Gilgal; and, behold, I will come down to you, to offer burnt offerings, and to sacrifice sacrifices of peace offerings: seven days shall you tarry, till I come to you, and show you what you shall do… and the people were scattered from him… and Saul said: Bring here a burnt offering to me.”

(1 Samuel 10:8; 13:8-14)

It seems that God, through Samuel, was little condescending with king Saul; albeit, when we analyze the life of this king, subsequently can be seeing that God was just dealing more with him, trying to transform his disobedience, inconstancy, anger and pride that was beginning to emerge, to the point, as we shall see, that he even allowed later being dragged into occultism and twisted spiritism.

This is a figure of System 7 that we discussed in the book entitled ‘Prophecies in the Pentateuch.’ Samuel, as a seer, envisions to king Saul some things that will happen in the near future; specifically the sacrifice he will have to perform to God in the eyes of the Jewish people. The prophet clearly warns about the king must wait for him 7 entire days; until he, Samuel––as a priest Mediator between God and men and therefore symbol and representative of Jesus Christ––should descended or “come down,” to offer the burnt offerings to Yahweh.

Saul, rebellious and toned in a hint of arrogance that would go to accrue over time, succumb to the impatience of people from whom he feared to appear as an incompetent. How do we see today in similar cases that men who self titled God’s representatives spend thousands and millions of dollars just to promote their overdressed images through the press and television for fear of appearing as incompetents, leaving aside the most important things! Did Christ bothered to be considered like a recognizable superstar in the courts of Cesar, using as a pretext the need to promote his doctrine?

King Saul was suffering the same arrogance and insecurity of these modern leaders with medieval souls technologically adapted to our times; and he fails to do everything as God, through Samuel, had aimed to try and make him see that He also scrutinize the human hearts. It is from such a moment when he is severely rebuked and rejected by the Holy Spirit of God because being a leader prone to idolatry; as he did later at the end of his days when going to see a spiritualist (certainly not the first time), violating the divine precepts (28:6-16); fact which God used then in order to announce his inevitable destruction and death.

In this case when he violates the provisions of Samuel, symbolizing here the Mediator between God and people; is therefore rejected and we see it when the seer and man of God tells him: “You have done foolishly: you have not kept the commandment of the Lord Yahweh, which he commanded you… But now your kingdom shall not continue: the Lord has sought him a man after his own heart, and Yahweh has commanded him to be captain over his people, because you have not kept that which the Lord God commanded you” (13:13-14). For the first time he was told that his kingdom would be transferred to another family, who happened to be the future king David.

What important fact is represented in this previous original quote we just analyzed? Why the king is here unceremoniously scrapped and rejected? Samuel––as we said––is a symbol of Jesus Christ, the Mediator between God and man (1 Tim 2:5); who, after the expiration of six Times or Millennia for humanity (represented here in the six days that the people should had wait),shall descend (coming down)––as Samuel––to the sacrifice of the nations, in the 7th, to judge the earth with fire (2 Pet 3:10); as it was finally done with the ritual of sacrifice. Once this happens the eternal arcanes will be revealed to the people of God (1 Cor 2:9).
