Moses... symbol of the Messiah.

 “The Lord Yahweh will raise up to you a Prophet from the middle of you, of your brothers, like to me; to him you shall listen… I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brothers, like to you, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak to them all that I shall command him. And it shall come to pass, that whoever will not listen to my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.”

(Deuteronomy 18:15, 18-19)

Moses was a leader, lawgiver, priest, mediator between God and people, deliverer; in short, a symbol of Jesus Christ. He spoke with the appearance of Yahweh God face to face, without intermediaries.

Sometimes our family and friends can defame and slander behind our backs, and that is what happened to Moses. When his brother Aaron and sister Mary enviously murmured against him, they were severely reprimanded, including Mary who instantly was covered with leprosy, and only thanks to the nobility of his brother who prayed to God for them, they did not totally perished. About that Moses God told them: “If there be a prophet among you, I the Lord will make myself known to him in a vision, and will speak to him in a dream. My servant Moses is not so, who is faithful in all my house. With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold: why then were you not afraid to speak against my servant Moses?” (Nm 12:6-8).

Moses was a righteous man, good and gentle, said and affirmed by God himself (Nm 12:3). He loved justice and therefore defended it even knowing he would pay with his own life when once moved by the abuse against his fellow Jews, he came out to defend them regardless of the consequences and lost his comfortable life he had in the court of Egypt’s Pharaoh (Ex 2:11-15); his temporary amenities and personal glory, having been educated at the universities of that time superpower, and into a wealthy family, with a well-recognized political power (Ex 2:10; Acts 7:20-25; Heb 11:24-25).

This exemplary man Moses was a symbol of Jesus Christ, and he himself prophesied 1500 years ahead about the Messiah to come, and that as to him, the Jewish people should listen and obey. Why the Jews, nevertheless, have despised Christ Jesus?, foretold by Moses. Jesus rebuked them personally when he said that: “For had you believed Moses, you would have believed me; for he wrote of me” (Jn 5:46).

Not in vain the apostle saint Peter, also Jewish, remembered them the words of Moses when he warned that those who did not believe in the prophet foretold by Moses to come, would be uprooted from among the people of God forever (Acts 3:22-23). No wonder the Jewish people have added this to their natural sufferings as a nation.

Jesus himself said: “How can you believe, which receive honor one of another, and seek not the honor that comes from God only? Do not think that I will accuse you to the Father: there is one that accuses you, even Moses, in whom you trust” (Jn 5:44-47). They remain stubborn about their Jewish Messiah is yet to come and hence find nothing but the Antichrist––of Jewish descent––who will deceive them as the false prince of peace they have waited, finally manifesting as a man of sin, the son of perdition who will oppose to everything that is called God or that is worshiped, portraying himself as God, using technologically sophisticated lying signs and wonders which will drag to him all the deceived masses, hypnotized by his peculiar charisma (2 Thess 2:3-9).

Soon he will be seen, for he breathes and walks among us. Will you be able to recognize him? You would need the Spirit of God to do so (Jn 3:1-16).

Today is the day you can receive Him, while the gate in the palace of heaven is still open.
