Not by might, but by my Spirit.

“Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, said Yahweh of hosts… the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace to it.”

(Zechariah 4:6-7)

The prophets and prophecies of the Old Testament were coming to an end, and El-Shaddai––our omnipotent God––declared about ‘the year of god’s Grace’ was approaching. The Law of God is holy and eternal, but is his Grace the one which forgives and spiritually adorns, preparing us for the triumphal entry into eternity.

Here the prophet Zechariah prophesies about the ‘Age of the Holy Spirit’ and beginning of the formation of Jesus Christ’s Church 500 years ahead from his time, once the Son of God would dwell among us personally revealing the Holy Father’s character, and the love that surpasses all understanding.

The Spirit of God has always lived among men who sought God in their hearts; nevertheless, once Christ––the first stone––powerfully builds up the congregational edifice, the Grace of the Almighty would be poured from his dwelling and God’s Plan would clearly be seen without mysteries and in a world already dominated with a universal language (Greek) and obvious notions for the understanding about the Logos and Verb (Word) born in flesh, through the virgin Mary, filled with that Grace and Truth.

Let’s keep examining our consciences, because just as in the midst of a court the judge sits, in the center of our consciousness the soul sits. If within that soul of ours the portion belonging to the Holy Spirit is not filled by the Divine, then our judge (conscience) can be manipulated by a negative spiritual entity occupying the area originally intended and destined––in our disembodied, incorporeal soul––to God’s Spirit only.

The conscience––same as in the material world––can become a ruthless and unjust judge leading you to destruction, suicide or constant depression; manipulated by the false god who usurps and occupies that place planned in God’s shape (within our soul), designed to suit everyone’s measurements and only for the Holy Spirit to dwell in it. On the other side, if it is occupied by the Spirit of God, then it regenerates and positively influence our conscience speaking through it to us; and judging, not abandoned to chance, but now influenced by God and for the sole purpose of edification for our good, and of those with whom we interact.

This will help us to understand the importance of receiving that portion of the Holy Spirit which needs to occupy his place in our souls, as it was designed by our loving Creator. That Divine deposit––under the Year of the Lord’s Grace––we can only receive it when we accept him and we let coming into our life as Son and Mediator between man and our Creator Yahweh.

What is truly evident once the Holy Spirit dwells within us, is the Light of the good provided by the Lord, which begins sweeping and fighting against darkness that kept us blinded and overwhelmed, manifesting that spiritual rebirth that makes the individual––upon receiving that portion and deposit of the Holy Spirit––to feel regenerated, apt to embrace the hope promised by God before a world he/she ignored in blindness, and where now feels the urgent need to know the Word of God; that manifestation of the Divine Verb, and fellowship with those who voluntarily are please investigating and scrutinizing the ways which lead to spiritual growth in God Yahweh.

Thus the People of God, the children of Adonai––even with the natural and legal right to defend themselves fighting for their freedoms––would be united and constituted by the love of God; but “not by might, nor by power” (v.6).
