I will break the Assyrian in my land and on my mountains tread him.

by Alejandro Roque Glez.
Major Prophets of the Old Testament at Alejandro's Libros

Well, among the scrolls preserved for centuries wrapped with linen coated in wax and inside of clay jars, there was a manuscript of this book of the prophet Isaiah that we are analyzing here, and dating back to over 2000 years ago, coinciding with the same having in our Bible. As always, the critics of today busily trying to ignore God, and who are hidden behind university doctorate’s diplomas and philosophers, which said (with supposed reliable evidence) that the book of Isaiah was a modern invention, had to––once again––make the ridiculous; and it shows how God, in his omniscience of time, has kept the Holy Scriptures intact until the End of that Time.

The Jewish people did not have to ‘move a hair’ as we see it was a defeat led and executed directly by the hosts of God. This fulminant defeat prophesied by Isaiah beforehand––as aforementioned in this note––resonated throughout the land. Note that this army was the equivalent today of the U.S. army, equipped with the best stocked and supplied technology of the time. So the humiliation received by Sennacherib (son of Emperor Sargon), and now head of the empire himself at the front of the Assyrian army which had not sufficiently strong opponents in the world at that time (701 BC), it was due mostly to their idolatrous insult (37:36-38) and attempt to divide Israel including Jerusalem. Once returned to his land he was later murdered by two of his sons; succeeding to the throne other one son named Esarhaddon (2 Kgs 19:32-37). Thus ends up those who test the power of God.

(What will life be on our planet once the Lord fulfills the promise of his coming? If interested you can read it in the form of a literary narrative, recreated in the author's book entitled: 'The King Victorino').

[These and other Old Testament prophecies are explicatively compiled in the author's book entitled: 'Major Prophets of the Old Testament;' in print and digital editions]
