Micah: hear all you people... He will come out of his place.

“Hear, all you people; listen, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord Yahweh be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple. For, behold, the Lord comes forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread on the high places of the earth. And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place.”

(Micah 1:2-4; 4:1-7)

The prophet Micah had in his name, which means: Who is like Yahweh? an important message. In a few pages and very simply he revealed for us the birthplace of God’s Messiah, the world war to happen at the End Times, the Millenarian Kingdom of Jesus Christ, and other prophecies concerning the political kingdoms of his time.

Micah ministered around the years 740-700 BC when ruled Jotham in the Northern Kingdom of Israel, and Ahaz in the Southern Kingdom. It had elapsed more than two centuries since Israel was divided into two kingdoms and impiety had vertiginously soared. A stubborn and rebellious people, immersed in false idolatries, satanic cults, unfair policies and unbearable injustices.

In northern Israel the capital city of Samaria mocked God believing to be eternal. The injustices were rampant and the judgment foretold during the last two centuries through the mouths of the prophets of God was about to be inflicted. The prophet Micah prophesied that it was near that divine wrath which scuffles the way of men, and in turn the Holy Spirit makes him visionarily moving forward into the End Times. How to know it?

We see how the prophet also describes a war where the burning fire goes beyond the ones invaders––in that ancient time of the Assyrians––were capable to rush over their enemies. No, this is a unique revelation, because even the mountains would fall like melted wax so hot and exhausted. This is a war not only under thermo-nuclear unloadings, but accompanied by natural disasters, including a burning and exorbitant solar activity making life on earth unbearable. This revelation was detailed centuries later by the apostle John when he prophesied in reference to the––now near––End about: “the fourth angel poured out his vial on the sun; and power was given to him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God… and they repented not to give him glory” (Rev 16:8-9).

If we want to understand the Divine Plan and stages of the Final Judgment, it is important to read all the prophets with regard to the apocalyptic prophecies. We are not talking about a man of God revealing something at a time, but one after another throughout the centuries––and inspired by the Holy Spirit––adding occasional distinctive features on the events related to the final phase of the last Age of humanity as we know it. Their new matching data contribute each to help assemble the great puzzle on the final conflict and establishment of eternal justice.

The prophet Micah foretells us about such ominous state of things approaching our today, where world powers secretly struggle to be some way worthy of international prominence, but when lies, as never before, have come well disguised and very sophisticated. He, like centuries later the apostle Paul (2 Thess 1:7-10), assures us that God––in the person of his Son––shall descend setting fire over the spiritual and material filth in a world completely clueless and deaf to the Creator’s claims (v.2-3). The mountains will melt (v.4) under his splendor, glory and power; making of the universal burning (2 Pet 3:10, 12) the mechanism capable to achieve the cleansing of the spiritual gold, and provide a new physical-material beginning.

The planet will be suffering then the Third World War that we had analyzed, main stage of which is the land of Israel dragging all nations in this world; albeit the remnant of Israel will convert––because it is necessary repentance and conversion to be participants in the Lamb of God’s weddings––and thus be able to experience a triumphant victory (4:13). In those days God will show such wonders as in the days when the people of Israel left Egypt under the yoke of Pharaoh (7:15-16), leaving overwhelmed and astonished this incredulous and rebellious world; reason why centuries later it is revealed about the song of the Lamb of God which will be equally heard together with the one of Moses (Rev 15:3).

This is followed by the Coming of the Lord with his holy angels (Mt 24:30-31), and the establishment of his Millennial Kingdom (Rev 20:4-6). The prophet Micah tells us: “But in the last days it shall come to pass, that the mountain of the house of the Lord shall be established in the top of the mountains… and people shall flow to it… for the law shall go forth of Sion, and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem” (4:1-7).
